The American Economy
When asked, "How's business?" most business owners used to answer in a positive way with a smile on their face. It's counter productive to be negative. But in today's economy I'm starting to hear another story. People are worried about the future. Personally, I've never seen anything like it, and I hope I never do again. The Importance of Multiple Methods of Marketing
What happens if most of your clients come from the Yellow Pages, and the economy slows - if people just stop calling? What happens if you have a direct mail campaign that all of a sudden doesn't produce for you any more; because of unforeseen reasons? In business there is no silver bullet; and if you find one, it may not work forever. The answer is to diversify. Spread your marketing over different media and methods. And at all cost, do not underestimate the power of meeting people and establishing relationships. As a matter of fact, your relationships can mean the difference between surviving a downturn, and prospering right through one. So get out there and make some friends.
